Wayne Mardle reached the last 32 at Sundays event in Wigan this weekend. He was unfortunate to run into the eventual tournament winner Colin Lloyd and lost 6-4.

He had previously defeated William O'Connor 6-5 at the last 64 stage and Geoff Whitworth in the opening round by the same scoreline.

Saturdays event was less successful as Wayne lost 6-3 in the opening round to Terry Jenkins.
